I have a love-hate relationship with Vegas. I grew up visiting Sin City and never enjoyed my visits. I'm not a gambler, rather an eater who loves to discover great places to eat. Now that I'm older, I'm planning to explore my city, my way. There so much beauty in Las Vegas just outside of the city and I plan on visiting them which each visit.
Here's a list of my favorite places to eat. There's a few places on the Strip. I've started to venture outside the main drag to find out what local are eating.
Aburiya Raku- Where all the top local and visiting chefs eat. Michelin-rated Japanese cuisine.
é by José Andrés - Tasting menu in an 8-seat hidden restaurant inside Jaleo at the Cosmo.
Kaiseki Yuzu - Make a reservation 3 days in advance for kaiseki from an experienced kaiseki chef from Japan.
Dom De Marco's - Authenic NY-style pizza using a system that replicates New York City tap water.
Sweets Raku- Not sure where else to find a Japanese gourmet dessert bar.
Viva Las Arepas - Some of the best arepas I've tasted outside Venezuela.
Chada Thai - Upscale Thai food and wine I have yet to find in LA.
Kyara Japanese Tapas- Another Japanese spot away from the strip where local chefs eat after work.
Starboard Tack- Hidden bar with superb cocktails and Islander foods including a couple inspired by the Philippines. District One - Modern Vietnamese and cocktails.
